New Delhi, March 31, 2019: Saurabh & Shena The Couture presented their “Dil-e-Guldasta” collection at the 11th season of India Runway Week held at The DLF Place Saket, New Delhi. One of the largest fashion events in India, Indian Federation for Fashion Development’s (IFFD) India Runway Week 2019 kick-started in the national capital recently and saw some spectacular collections of the hottest trends to watch out for by some of the renowned and new-gen designers. Saurabh & Shena, an upcoming designer duo were also a part of this fashion event.
The “Dil-e-Guldasta” collection gave us a glance of God’s foremost creation “Women” and its beauty compared to the true wonders of the universe and the purest form of God’s creative nature. Soul of Saurabh & Shena‘s new collection was well defined by its craftsmanship. Hand-painted, applique with hand-dyed chiffons & georgette overlayered by the finest zardozi, pearls, rhinestones & colourful Resham threads.  Lifestyle blogger Pooja Raina walked the ramp for this collection which was a strong advocate of women empowerment.

IFFD’S India Runway Week: Spring Summer 2019 DAY 1 highlight

  • The first day of India Runway Week spring/summer 2019 started out with Rina Dhaka who opened the show, showcased summer brides.

  • Acid attack victim Laxmi Aggarwal sizzle on the ramp for designer Laxmishriali

  • Rj Khurafati Nitin, Suman, Jassi and RJ yogi walked the ramp on old songs for Javik Nari, brand curated by Fashion Director of India Runway Week

New Delhi,  March 29, 2019; The Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) hosted the extremely anticipated eleventh season of India Runway Week at The DLF Place Saket, New Delhi. Country’s third largest fashion event started with high spirit in the capital from March 29, 2019, and put up a spectacular display of the hottest trends to watch out for by some of the renowned and upcoming designers. The show had Laxmi Aggarwal who is also motivational for the upcoming movie of Deepika Padukone as a showstopper, who strutted on the ramp in style. We give you a lowdown of some of the best moments on the ramp at this fashion week.

The show opened with the designs of veteran Designer Rina Dhaka. The day one of the India Runway Week was high on creativity, where experienced designers ruled the ramp, the newbies were also not far behind. The names of the 1st-day designers are Rina Dhaka, ALKA Gilada, Javik Nari, Laxmishriali, Yajy by Aditya Jain, Madhulika Mehta, last but not lease Amit Talwwar

Rina Dhaka showcased her summer wedding collection at IFFD’s India Runway Week Summer 2019 for the first time. Her entire collection was a tribute to watch. Her collection had all shades of summer.

Alka Gilada presented her collection Khwabeeda which was a bridal collection and had a perfect blend of traditional attire with a modern outlook.

Javik Nari was a curated show on make in India and for India by Fashion Director of India Runway Week, Kiran Khera which had very authentic handmade fabric feel. In this show, RJ’s walked the ramp.

Laxmishriali showcased her chic collection “revolutionary goddess” in which motivational Acid Attack Victim Laxmi Agarwal walked the ramp. Yajy by Aditya Jain Designer from Kolkata showcased the collection in which you can see prominent silhouettes in menswear whereas another Designer from same city Satinvogue by Madhulika Mehta collection has rimless pearls, sparkles and glitters, sequins and stones, shimmer and shine. On the day finale Delhi, based Designer Amit Talwwar laughed the stunning collection “ victorian allure” inspired by the royals of Great Britain.

walked the Runway for the day finale designer, Kaaisha by Shalini and
during day Rashmi Desai walked the ramp for Designer Apoorva Mahajan
and Shivani Kashyap also walked the ramp for LA-Styliste by Purvi Roy

showcased their Fresh & innovative collection on Day 2

 

New Delhi, 21April, 2018; After a pleasing Day 1 of the India Runway
Week, here come the Day 2 collections that fiercely lit up the runway.
From laid back styles to pret and luxurious apparel, everything found
a place in the India Runway Week. At Day 2 of India Runway Week’s
summer 2019 edition, standout collections by designers LA- Styliste by
Purvi Roy, Prahnaaya, Tvam by Mehak, Varija Bajaj, Kaaisha by Shalini
and Newgen designers along with Vidya Institute of Fashion &
Technology made their way to the runway.

Here are the highlights from Day 2 that you shouldn’t miss:
Day 2 was opened at 2nd show area of India Runway Week, Student show
by Meerut based Institute, Vidya Institute of Fashion & Technology and
second show at same show area, fashion Brooder Runway was Newgen
designer’s show where 5 young designers showcased their collection were
Sitannya by Shoumita Ganguly, House of Jas by Jyoti Garg, Sapna Gupta,
Vibha Jain and Manua by Mansi.

At 5pm Varija Bajaj showcased a collection in which was inspired by
the environmental hazards and pollution causing everyone to suffocate.
and whereas Apoorva Mahajan, Designer from Delhi showcased a
collection which was for everyone who wants to display their
uniqueness.  The collection focused on Pastel hues and lighter shades
and in this show, Rashmi Desai walked as a showstopper.

At  6 pm RIG utility clothing, showcased a brave new world of fashion
the India runway week season 11, RIG Utility clothing carries a
philosophy of travelling to unexplored territories not just in the
physical realm but through that an individual’s imagination.

 

Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap dazzled the ramp in LA Styliste by
Purvi Roy, her black couture dress was embellished with paillettes.
And in the same show, Prahnaaya Clothing combined traditional drapes
with new-age designs and cuts. The third designer Tvam by Mehak
showcased Runway bride where she got inspiration from a individuals
like mother, daughter, lover, a wife, a professional, a boss and she
has the right to live and live free.

The day finale show was done by Kaaisha by Shalini where Shazahn
Padamsee walked as a showstopper the ramp the collection elamor was
inspired by Seville architecture in Spain which symbolizes a great
a juxtaposition of old and modern architect.

Cantabil presents its refreshing spring summer’19 collection at India runway week. The retail house spruced up the stage with its youthful and blooming ready to wear collection with its fresh palette.

The collection unravelled the summer 19 fashion trend with its colour range of roman pink,  aqua blue,  algae greens,  coral red,  mustard,  cobalt blue etc.

Cantabil’s men’s wear collection put the stage on freeze with the season’s biggest trend showcasing the diverse range of colour and styles to pick from. It’s a casual range of super lightweight blazers in dobby,  checks and structures spoke volumes about its finest and elegant choice of fabrics like linens blends and 100%linens which were styled and layered to precision to get that perfect urban dandy look. Looks created had; textured light pastel colours layered over a shirt or tee with beige or khaki pants, sky blue linen blazers paired up with shorts, tone on tone layering, window pane blazers layed up with printed shirts and denim etc.

 

The next collection had on the floor all classy formal and party looks. Moving away from cliche the range had a mix and match concepts to tonal dressing ideations. The party 3pcs suits were the head Turners with its impeccable structures and designs which had shiny tuxedos to matched jacquards in the shades of navys and blacks. The formal 2 pcs were also fit and styled to perfection for any business meetings. A brief but radically unique collection of bandgalas in linens with straight cuts and jacquards in achkan style added ethnic roots to the collection.

Cantabil’s women’s wear collection was a true blend of club wear dressing along with casual looks. The looks revolved around off shoulder floral dresses cinched at the waist, body con colour-blocked dresses, coordinate sets of wide legged pants to solid elegant tops.  The concept had everything you need trendy and would like to experiment for making this summer a breezy affair including lightweight fabrics under florals, stripes, solids and much loved digital prints.
